Project Blue is excited to be a part of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Joining the San Francisco Chamber allows us to open up new opportunities for Project Blue and for foster youth across the United States. The chamber includes many innovative and tech companies based in San Francisco, including Salesforce, Uber, Eventbrite, and many others. Most of these companies are based in San Francisco but some are based all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Project Blue will allow us to network with over 2,000 companies. Chamber membership allow us to raise awareness about foster care and help us to complete our mission to improve the foster care system. We are very excited to start brainstorming with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce to see how we can collaborate and partner with each other. We hope to make an announcement soon about upcoming projects with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
Project Blue and Foster Care Awareness day has been going strong for two years now. May 2nd we celebrated 3 years of Foster Care Awareness Day. What started out small has grown into something huge. For our 3rd annual Foster Care Awareness Day we gained an amazing strategic partner. We partnered up with the Sleep Train Foundation, which is now the Ticket to Dream Foundation. With the help up the Ticket to Dream Foundation we were able to get it registered with the national calendar as a national day. So the first Tuesday in May, during Foster Care Awareness Month is permanatly Foster Care Awareness Day.
We are currently talking with members of congress to get this day federally reconized. Click the link to see the write up about foster care awareness day.
The write up to foster care awareness day:
Project Blue is excited to launch it's brand new national wide foster care talk series. The talk series is called "Foster Talks. Foster talks in a talk series dedicated to finding innovative solutions and ideas centered around foster care. The talk uses a Ted Talk style model where speakers will have 20 minutes to give their talk.We will have a bay area launch party July 15th in Santa Rosa, CA with an incredible speaker line up.
We want to create a space to be able to share ideas and thoughts to improve foster care. Also we relies that not all communities are alike and what works for one community won't work for another This is a way to some up with real solutions that work for the different communities. This talk is a great way to bring potential stake holders that maybe interested in helping to improve the foster care system. You can get the details on the bay area launch party event by clicking the link down below. We hope to see you there.
