Here is a list of the current projects we are working on.
#Goblueday- National foster care awareness day
#GoBlueDay- National Foster Care Awareness Day happens the first Tuesday in May to kick off Foster Care Awareness Month. People from around the world dress up in blue in honor of the kids currently in foster care and for all those who have been impacted by the foster care system.
Foster Talks is a new foster care talk series is dedicated to finding innovative solutions and ideas to improve and fix the foster care system. Every community is different. What works for one state might not work for another. Also, what works for one city in one state will not work for another city in the same state. Foster Talks uses the Ted Talk style model.
Thanksgiving With The Fosters
The holidays can be tough, lonely, and depressing for foster youth who are transitioning out of foster care and for and foster care alumni because they have no where to go and no one to call family. Project Blue partners with churches on Thanksgiving day so that those who don't have a place to go on this holiday can celebrate other foster youth and alumni in the same situation.
